Before you walk & offline audio
It-Tokk, the main square of Victoria, where the morning market sets up. The bus station is a two-minute walk from it and every route on Gozo passes through.
The Citadella sits on a hill and the walk goes up it. The climb from the town to the gate is short but steep, and inside the walls the ground is uneven limestone with steps in places. The ramparts have low parapets and long drops.
The town half of the walk is level. The climb to the Citadella gate is steep, and the streets inside it are uneven — passable on wheels with effort and help, in places not at all. The ramparts walk has steps. The stops in the town and at the gate stand on their own if the citadel itself is too much.
