Terms & Conditions
Last updated 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of this website and any audio guide you buy through it. Please read them before purchasing. Nothing here affects the rights you have as a consumer under Maltese or EU law.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by [ NOT YET PROVIDED ], trading as Malta Audio Guide, of [ NOT YET PROVIDED ], Malta.
Company registration number: [ NOT YET PROVIDED ]. VAT number: [ NOT YET PROVIDED ]. Contact: [ NOT YET PROVIDED ].
What you are buying
The written guide for every stop is free to read and always will be. What is sold is access to the recorded narration, the guided walking mode that follows your location, and the ability to download the audio for offline use.
You are buying a personal, non-transferable licence to use that audio for your own private, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, broadcast, resell or use it in a commercial tour, and you may not extract the audio files or the text for use elsewhere.
How access works, and its limits
There are no accounts. Your purchase is recorded in the browser you bought it in. That keeps the service simple and private, but it has a consequence you should understand before paying: if you clear your site data, use a different browser, or change device, the audio will lock again.
Keep your payment confirmation email. If you lose access, contact us with it and we will restore your purchase.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro and include any applicable VAT. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your purchase is complete when Stripe confirms the payment and the audio unlocks.
Walking safely — please read
These are walking tours of real cities with real traffic, steep steps, uneven historic paving, unguarded drops from bastion walls, and strong sun. You are responsible for your own safety and for anyone with you.
Do not look at your phone while crossing roads or descending steps. The narration is designed so you can put the phone away and listen. Follow all signs, barriers and instructions from staff at any site you visit.
Routes and directions are provided in good faith but conditions change: streets close, sites shut, and stairs get wet. Use your own judgement, and if a route looks unsafe or impassable, do not take it.
Accuracy
The historical content has been researched with care, but it is a guide for visitors, not an academic work, and interpretations differ. Practical details — opening hours, prices, firing times, whether a museum is open — change frequently and are not guaranteed. Check with the site itself before planning your day around it. Map positions are approximate.
Availability
We aim to keep the guide available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The map depends on third-party tile services, and location features depend on your device. Downloading the audio before you set out is the reliable way to use the guide where there is no signal.
Intellectual property
The written guides, the recorded narration, the routes and the design of this site belong to us and are protected by copyright. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence. The typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font Licence.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for injury or loss arising from how you choose to walk a route, or from the acts of third-party attractions, transport or map providers.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first at [ NOT YET PROVIDED ] — most things are fixed quickly. If we cannot resolve it, consumers in Malta may contact the Office for Consumer Affairs at the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (mccaa.org.mt).
